Before wrapping things up, I thought I'd show a couple of the small projects I made with little bits of Winterkist. Sometimes you don't need a huge amount of fabric to show it off to its best advantage, all you need is a bit of stitching! Anyone who has visited my blog a time or two knows that I'm a big lover of handwork and like to embellish with a bit of it wherever I can. Enter the French press cozy.....
Yes those are French knots, take a closer look! I adore French knots, both for their simplicity and their ability to dress things up.
Since I had a cozy warm press, I needed a mug rug to go with it. Gnoma Claus makes a perfect mug rug!
If you look closer you can see how I worked handstitching into his beard!
My other little project had no handstitching, but was so much fun to make. I stripped all the selvedges from the Winterkist fabric and made myself a make-up bag. This tiny bag is probably my favourite thing that I've EVER made. If you are attending Sewing Summit, my bag and I will be there, we're inseparable!
Look at that row of tiny Gnomas! Yeah, no plain dots on this selvedge!
There's even a sweet surprise when you open it up. A pink Gnoma Claus peeking out at you!
There's even a sweet surprise when you open it up. A pink Gnoma Claus peeking out at you!
The back is just as cute as the front.
Thanks to all the bloggers who participated in the hop and to those that promoted both the blog hop and our wonderful sponsors. Without our generous sponsors, Lecien USA and Fat Quarter Shop, this blog hop wouldn't have been possible.
Thanks to all of you for following along. Winterkist is expected in stores anytime now! I know it's going to be a hot seller, and I can't wait to see what you are all going to make with it.
Now, go forth and sew!
Great projects. Especially love Mr Gnoma Mugrug. He's very awesome looking with his embroidered beard.

I loved all of them, they're so pretty. I think mu favorite is your coffee press cozy and mug rug. I've broken my beaker to my coffee press, so this made me miss it more than ever ... guess I need to get a new one and then make a cozy for it! Well done!!
