There hasn't been a whole lot of sewing going on in the past few weeks. I'm sending a search party out to start looking for my mojo. I'll need to get it back soon because this week I was lucky enough to get into round four of the
Pretty {little} Pouch Swap. I've spent a good amount of time figuring out what my partner might like. It seems in these kind of things, I always get the person who has only a few photos on flickr and no blog. It makes it harder to get a sense of what they'd like, but in the end I guess it gives me more freedom to do what I like.
So far I've pulled three fabric ideas for her pouch.
I've also started crocheting another scarf. This is more of a summer weight, and in a colour that looks really good on my when I have darker skin. Now I know that the sun isn't that great for your skin and I do use a ton of sunscreen, but I spend so much time outdoors that no matter what, I end up tanned. I figure that I should just work with it :-)
and
I just did a swap with someone who didn't have a blog or any online presense at all...it was hard to decide what to do. I never did hear if she liked what I sent her. Oh well:)
ReplyDeleteWoo! I love that map & rainbow fabric. Very cool. Thanks so much for linking up )

In stitches
the map and solids together present a very intriguing picture!
ReplyDeleteI love all 3 choices - they're all so different and cool in their own way. Good luck and I hope you find your mojo! :)
ReplyDeleteThe map fabric is unusual, i would have a hard time giving it to someone else even in a small project! I am too greedy, I suspect.
ReplyDeleteI love the map and colors that you have pulled from it! It is such a bummer about your swaps. :( xoxo....
ReplyDeletelove the map fabric! I spied that the other day when ordering and was oh so tempted by it! lovely. x
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing your map fabric, I remembered that I have some as well. Must dig it out and make something. I haven't ever done a swap for a partner, but I am sure your ideas and efforts will be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteIt must be the time of year.....I'm not getting a lot done either.
ReplyDeleteYou sure had me with your first bunch...I love anything Dewberry. Then I saw your map & rainbow - super fun! You probably can't go wrong :)
ReplyDeleteThe map and rainbow fabric looks like a fab idea! Hope your mojo shows up soon :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes the hardest part of a project is starting. My skin burns so I do not tan - hence, I tend to stay away from too much sun exposure. I do like your new crochet project.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you picked to go with the map fabric- really fun! I have some of the underground map fabric sitting, calling to me, but I have yet to figure out how best to use it... If I were your swap partner, it'd make me happy ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOVELY shawl colour! Love the bright colours & esp. map fabric. Look forward to seeing the finished project when you are able to post.
ReplyDeleteLOVING your brights + subway fabric - wish i could jump in and steal them!! :D
ReplyDeleteI love your map and solids - your poch will be great!
