Parade Day

Ask anyone who knows my stitching habits, and they will tell you that I LOVE French knots. I don't know why. Maybe it's because my mom can't make one to save herself, and she told me they were really difficult and I'd probably never master them. Yeah, she said that. Of course she's the same mom who told me I'd probably fail my driver's test at least once or twice. Which I passed with flying colours the first time, by the way.....

Anyhoo, I managed to find a few minutes this week to fit some stitching in, and yes, it's French knots! I absolutely love the steel grey floss against white. To me it's a very sophisticated combination, which generally I'm not very....haha....

Now it's your turn!!

I just ask a few things of you:

1. link only projects with some handstitching
2. link to a specific post
3. use the linky party button (found in my sidebar) in your post, so others can easily find the party and join in
4. visit other Handmade Parade partiers, because everyone likes comments :-)
.....and go!

  1. Your French Knots are gorgeous!

I have finally gotten my blog up and running. I was hoping to stick your button in my sidebar, but the code in your sidebar doesn't seem to be working right.

Thanks for hosting my favorite weekly parade of the week!

  2. I guess mums aren't always right ;) They look fabulous and I agree the colour is lush!

  3. I can't seem to get the hang of french knots at all. The knot part just never seems to quite happen! Yours are gorgeous!

  4. Wow! That's a lot of french knots! I love the dimension it gives your letter though!

  5. Sounds like your mother is as supportive and encouraging as mine :)

Great knots. And yes, to the colour combo.

No sewing for me again this week. Sigh.

  6. Lovely color! Wonder what it is going to say....? Looks fantastic. You're soooo good at these!

  7. That looks so amazing, Katie! I'm a big fan of gray too. Can't wait to see this when it's done. Next week, I'll have something for parade day finally!

  8. Hmmm...not to be presumptuous but is that my name that I see?! Eekkk! I'm crossing my fingers that I might get something from the best hand sewer I know!!! Love the colors and I can't wait to see you next SLC ready for us? xoxo...
