This week though, I did manage to get some hexagons done. Exactly 6. Go me!
and then I hand appliqued them onto the back of a bag that I made for the Pretty Little Pouch Swap I think I want to add a bit of hand quilting, the bag looks a little plain still.....
Just as an aside, if you don't know how do do the little tabs on your zippers, you really need to learn how! It makes your bags look very professional. No more puckered zipper ends! I used Elizabeth Hartman's perfect zip pattern. With it you will learn how to make ANY zipper this way!
Now it's your turn!!
I just ask a few things of you:
1. link only projects with some handstitching
2. link to a specific post
3. use the linky party button (found in my sidebar) in your post, so others can easily find the party and join in
4. visit other Handmade Parade partiers, because everyone likes comments :-)
.....and go!
Beautiful, Katie! Love those fabrics. I'll have something to link up this Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely pouch and what a coincidence I've made a project pouch too this week and applique hexies on the back!;)
ReplyDeleteLovely hexies and it really does look perfect! :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous! I learned how to do zippers from that pattern too - it really is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot to share today, so I decided to start a blog. It is up, somewhat, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to insert a flickr photo into my wordpress post. I'm out of time this morning, so I decided to link to my flickr photos directly instead. The four linked are my current WIPs.
ReplyDeleteIt's loveley
ReplyDeleteThat looks great! Loving the hexies! The combination works perfectly! =D
