Here is Pickles, whose name obviously isn't really Pickles, but it's what I call her. Other people call her Macy. When Pickles was little she always asked why I called her Honey, Sugar, Pumpkin, Cupcake or Cookie. I told her that they were sweet, just like her. Ok maybe pumpkins aren't terribly sweet, but well, she was chubby like a pumpkin. So after much discussion, it was decided I should call her Pickles, because she liked pickles better than any of those things. So, Pickles she is!
Pickles now has a new apron, made from a Heather Bailey pattern with Children at Play fabric. The pattern is for adults, so it's not quite a perfect fit for a ten year old, but she is really pleased with it. She wore it to school the day after it was finished so she could show it off. I now have two orders from teachers to make them their own!
I'm linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish it up Friday

ReplyDeletethanks for linking up to finish it up Friday!
Great apron. Isn't it great when your kids like what you make!
ReplyDeleteThe pillow is so cute! And Pickles looks very HAPPY with her new beautiful apron :o) The upside is she can grow into it, girls that age shoot up so fast!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a love-hate relationship with that Heather Bailey pattern! I've made it a few times now, and there's something aabout the band that joins the bodice and skirt that drives me insane!
ReplyDeleteI keep going back for more though because it turns out so darn cute - yours is just adorable!
Adorable pillow and super-cute apron! Pickles is a little cutie, too! When I was her age, I could eat an insane amount of pickles! I don't eat them often now, but I have a daughter who lives the legacy. :-) Thanks for sharing your projects!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute projects this week!
ReplyDeleteAww. What a cute pillow and apron. Beautifully done. :0)
ReplyDeleteThat pillow is so cute! I love that red/aqua color combination. And the apron (and apron model!) are adorable. You've had a productive week! :o)

ReplyDeleteMacy apron is very cute too.. ( lovely girl!! Be sure to tell her that.. I also call my girls different odd things and they seems not to mind even though they are 18 and 22 ;-)) )
Pickles and her apron are too cute! I had to comment because my mom's nickname as a child was Picklepuss. Pickles made me smile and think of mom.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not the only one who didn't finish her Christmas project. Love the pillow.
ReplyDeleteSuper fun apron! I'm not surprised at all that you are getting requests for more. :)
